YEAR
The next meeting of the Old Scholars' AGM will be held on Saturday 12th November 2011 at 10.00 in the library.
Dear Old Scholar
We write to invite you to this year’s AGM.
All members are welcome to join us for this year’s Annual General Meeting of the Old Scholars’ Association at Friends’ School, Saffron Walden on Saturday 12 November 2011 at 10.00am.
The Agenda and Programme for this year’s AGM are below. Please send any nominations for Committee members and appointments to me at the above address.
At last year’s AGM we adopted the new Constitution. In brief, all ex pupils and staff are now members of the association, unless they opt to withdraw. All former subscriptions received by the association will be directed to the School who will cover all of our costs. Please see the attached explanatory letter from the President and the Head and new standing order form.
(Click here to download the explanatory letter form President/Head and click here to download the Donation/Standing Order form).
I do hope that you will consider making a “gift aided” payment for the benefit of the school as this increases your contribution by the amount recovered from the tax you pay.
You will note that the new Building work is underway and there will be an opportunity to see the progress being made. The new Car Park and a Multi Use Games Area are already in use.
We very much look forward to seeing you on Saturday 12th November.
Yours sincerely
Nigel McTear
Chair
