May Reunion 2010

Saturday 15th May 2010

We share our May Reunion with the School's 'Friends and Families Day'.

We do hope that as many Old Scholars as possible will be able to attend these events.

From the President:

Dear Oldscholars

As in recent years we are holding our reunion on the same day as the school’s ‘Friends and Families Day’. It gives us a chance to look round the school and see and hear about new developments as well, as meeting up with our contemporaries.

All Old Scholars are welcome on the 15th May, but especially those who are in the 1968 year group (the rising 60s), the 1978 year group (the rising 50s) and my own year group – 1960, and we don’t mention our age! See the May Reunion page of the website for more details. I particularly hope that you will also be able to come to the dinner - see below for menu and order form.

Also especially welcome are those of any year who would like to come and join our choir which will sing at the start of the dinner at 6.30pm, with a rehearsal at 4pm in the Assembly Hall. Music became a great love of mine and I am sure of many Old Scholars who had the benefit of superb musical opportunities at the school over the years, and this is a chance to celebrate it. So if you haven’t already filled in a form and would like to sing please complete the slip below and send it to me. I will supply the music, and a learning CD, if required. We will sing ‘Zadok The Priest’, ‘Ave Verum Corpus’, Dylan’s ‘Blowing In The Wind’, and ‘Dear Lord And Father Of Mankind’ to finish with.

As well as the events outlined in the rest of the programme overleaf, the dinner promises to be as excellent and as enjoyable as last year. So I do hope you will come and join us. Cheques and menu choices must reach the school by 1st May. Apply early as places are limited.
